Pamela Anderson Lee: Celebrity Bodyguard

Be fairly warned: the following story regarding Pamela Anderson Lee has nothing to do with her ample . . . er, mothering skills. Variety's Michael Fleming reports that Lee will tap into her most "under-exploited asset"--her sense of humor--for a proposed syndicated series called Fashion Force. The former Baywatch babe, who recently won a $5 million lawsuit brought against her and told the court in testimony that she won't do gratuitous-sex scenes, is working with Pretty Woman writer J.F. Lawton on the idea. Lawton, who is also responsible for the unproduced Howard Stern script, The Adventures of Fartman, describes the series like this: "It's six years in the future, and the whole obsession with celebrities has gone insane, to the point where models and stars are running government posts, but are pursued by nuts and need incredibly good-looking bodyguards to take care of them." Lee would head a slightly clothed force which guards the celebrities. "We're hoping to get cameos from real celebrities and fashion people, who'll get to predict what they'll be doing in six years," Lawton says. "Bill Maher might be president, Howard Stern a rabbi, and Naomi Campbell the ambassador to Burma. We've just begun pitching it and got strong reaction from foreign markets. One German buyer offered $300,000 an episode because Pam's so huge in that country." Maybe they thought David Hasselhoff was somehow involved. No domestic buyers have turned up yet, but we think that's only a matter of time.
