If nothing else, Pamela Anderson Lee's legal
battles are generating oodles of free publicity for her upcoming syndicated
show, VIP. The buxom beauty, who filed for divorce from her husband,
Tommy Lee, last week, filed another suit this week against the Seattle- Lee and Michaels have filed separate $90 million lawsuits against IEG in Los
Angeles federal court to block release of the latest tape, which the company
wants to sell on the Internet. Michaels has already been granted a court order
stopping the video's debut until the dispute is resolved.
On Wednesday, the former Baywatch babe was grilled behind closed doors
by IEG's attorneys over the video, which features her stripping to New Age music
and Michaels cavorting in a vampire outfit. After giving her deposition, Lee
read a statement regarding the tape of her and Tommy, calling its release an
invasion of her privacy and denying reports that the couple received money for
it. "A tape was stolen from Tommy Lee and myself," she told reporters.
"IEG is now selling that tape worldwide, illegally, without my or Tommy's
consent. Further, we have not received one penny or signed an agreement
permitting them to merchandise this tape." She added, "I will continue
to fight not only for myself and my children, but also for legislation that
would make what they are doing to me a crime." IEG says the couple signed a
release allowing the tape to be sold. "We feel good about our legal
position," says IEG attorney Alan Isaacman.
